Adivi Sesh is a top actor and whatever he does always makes headlines. He has done the same with his new film Major. The teaser is out and let’s do a postmortem of what’s good and what’s not?
What’s it about?
Major is based on Major Sundeep Unnikrishnan, who lost his life in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. The action drama marks the debut of Sesh in Hindi as well. Mahesh Babu produces this film that also marks the debut of Saie Manjrekar into Telugu cinema. It is a biopic based on how Major Sundeep fought hard for the country.
The emotion in any film is the one that drives the audience and here in Major, the emotion is generated superbly. The emotions of parents sending their only son to the army. The emotion of an army soldier towards his country and more importantly to fight the bad and help the nation which is any soldier’s duty. All this has been captured so effectively.
But the main draw is Adivi Sesh who plays Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. He looks and means business as a handsome commando. Sesh is riveting in the promo and is shown doing crazy action sequences. The patriotic feeling and urge to know what happened during the 26/11 attacks has created a stutter in the teaser.
Though it cannot be called a drawback, the predictable nature of the promo is there for all to see. The story is fresh in the minds of many and we need to see how Sesh and director Sasi have showcased the aspects which many did not know.
What to expect
The film is going to be super thrilling and there is no denying that fact. Sesh will be seen in a role that he has never played before and with him writing the story, he knows how to draw the attention of the audience as well. The film will be high on action and emotions and once can see the scale and riveting suspense being unveiled what happened in the Taj Hotel on that day.
Quite often, so many filmmakers come out with subjects based on terrorist attacks. But the emotion and action are not that great frankly. But the teaser of Major has all of that and has raised the expectations to another level for sure.
