D Company Movie Review
RGV is one director who does not bother about anything and just makes his films. He has now released his new film D Company on SPARK OTT. Read our review to know if he made any sense this time at least.
Story :
Dawood Ibrahim(Ashwat Kanth) is a small town goon in Mumbai who runs his own gang with his brother. One fine day a noted Bhai approaches him with a deal. This starts a new issue for him and Dawood takes this as a big opportunity to grow big in his life. How does he handles all this to become big is the story.
Analysis :
RGV has a liking towards gangster flicks and we all know that. He has made so many films in this genre and this is his latest film named D Company. The film is about the back story of Dawood and this makes a very interesting film subject. But everything depended on how RGV will narrate the film.
Firstly, RGV has been choosing some cheap actors for all his films and the same happens once again. The subject is good and the name of some old dons makes for a good watch in some scenes. Most of the actors’ ham to no extent and this is a big put-off.
The BGM was good and gives a push. But RGV has showcased so many routine scenes that we have seen in all his old films already. There is no novelty in the film and things get boring.
Plus Points :
- BGM
- Gangster backstory
Minus Points :
- Lack of novelty
- Silly casting
- Dull narration
Verdict :
RGV has made so many films on gangsters that there is nothing new to watch in D Company. Upon this, the B grade acting will put you off. In a word, RGV has rehashed his own old films and made D Company which has no juice in it.
