Rang De Movie Review – Predictable but Entertaining
Rang De is Venky Atluri’s third film and has a good buzz among the audience. The Rom-com is out now and read on to know if the film lives up to the hype or not.
Story :
Rang De is about Anu and Arjun played by Nithin and Keerthy Suresh. Arjun hates Anu but at a point, he is forced to marry Anu. His misery increases when Anu gets pregnant. How will he handle such a situation is the basic story of Rang De.
Analysis :
A boy and girl hating each other right from childhood has been shown in many films. But what makes Rang De different is the set up and sincere emotions. The drama is not forced and is not harsh on you making it tense.
It shows what happens between a couple when they are forced to marry without love. Venky Atluri has got his act right as he has established the story quite nicely in the first half. There is comedy, drama and romance and makes for a breezy first half. Just when you think what the second half will bring you, a pregnancy angle is brought and it makes a lot of sense.
But the only drawback is the manner in which heroine falls for hero in the first half is not handled well. The same problems gets repeated in the second half as not many scenes show how Nithin falls for Keerthy.
But all this can be put aside as the sensible drama that is unleashed and it makes a lot of sense. It won’t bore you and is brought at correct intervals coversing all the small errors. Upon this, the visuals, comedy, and songs keep the audience hooked for the most part.
Plus :
Keerthy Suresh performance
Lead pair chemistry
Strong drama in second half
Songs
Minus :
Routine story
Lack of depth in establishment of romance
Final Word :
Love stories are one and the same but the narration makes all the difference. The same happens with Rang De as well as the small errors are covered by good drama and comedy. If you just ignore the storyline and go in with an open mind, this film will surely impress you with its breezy scenes and good music.
