Nani is an actor that the Telugu audience holds close to their hearts because of his relatable next-door-boy roles, pleasant stories and realistic performances. For a change, the actor experimented in a part with several negative shades in V that released on Amazon Prime Video last year, but the Mohana Krishna Indraganti-directorial was rejected by viewers for its inept execution and poor story. With the release of Tuck Jagadish, directed by Shiva Nirvana, scheduled for April, Nani is back in his favourite, safe genre – a family entertainer – where he pairs up with Ritu Varma and Aishwarya Rajesh.
The teaser of Tuck Jagadish was out today; it leaves a sweet aftertaste and has the promise of a good film in the offing. It has a fair bit of action, humour and sentiment but the atmosphere looks fairly pleasant – a safe combination that has always worked for Nani. Since the reopening of theatres, family crowds have been largely absent from the cinema halls, blame it around the fear of the pandemic or the absence of a clean entertainer. Tuck Jagadish looks like the film that’ll compel them to have the big screen experience.
Reportedly, Tuck Jagadish is a story of two brothers on the lines of Chiranjeevi’s Gang Leader, where the character played by Nani rises to the occasion for his family in the need of the hour. Besides, S Thaman being in an infectious form will come in very handy to ensure good buzz before the release. Inkosaari, sung by Shreya Ghoshal, is already climbing up the music charts across streaming platforms. Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Nasser, Jagapathi Babu form a solid unit as the supporting cast – there’s very little doubt that Tuck Jagadish is a minimum guarantee fare. Shiva Nirvana looks set for a hattrick!
