Only a handful of film industry personalities have the gift of the gab and the ability to hold an audience’s interest in any given situation. Jr NTR is certainly one among them and has matured immensely as a speaker over the years. Invited as a celebrity guest for the Cyberabad Traffic Police Annual Conference 2021 earlier on Wednesday, Jr NTR was at his articulate best in a six-minute-long speech when it was his turn to speak at the event. He stuck a human chord with his words.
“I have not come here as an actor, but as a citizen who lost two of his family members to road accidents. My brother Nandamuri Janaki Ram, who lost his life on the road, was always very cautious. However, a vehicle coming in the wrong direction had hit his car. Many of us here know that my dad, Harikrishna, was someone who helped my grandfather travel across the state on the Chaitanya Ratham safely for over 33000 km. Even he breathed his last in a road accident,” Jr NTR said.
Throwing in a word of caution for everyone who hit the roads on their vehicles, the actor added, “Please remember your family and dependents when you hit the roads. We need to feel responsible about it, there’s no vaccine for mishaps on the road. I read somewhere God can’t be present everywhere, so he gave us parents. Parents can’t be everywhere, so he gave us teachers. The army men guard our nation, the policeperson guards our homes. Please respect their efforts.” The speech rightly ended with huge applause.
Though Jr NTR’s oratory abilities need no introduction, the speech brought to the fore, an extremely sensitive side to the actor. It looked like every word had come out of his heart and he had meant it sincerely. Recently, Jr NTR’s RRR co-star Ram Charan too had attended an event concerning Hyderabad Police, where he had revealed that he would be playing a cop in the film. Meanwhile, Jr NTR is slated to do films with Trivikram and Prashanth Neel after RRR.
